We’ve discussed the benefits to white oak hardwood flooring before: it’s color makes a space feel uplifting and serene; the grain has a smooth, uniform texture; it's more durable than other species of oak and it’s more water resistant than other types of hardwood. With all these advantages to this wood species, we thought you’d appreciate a project spotlight that was dependent on white oak.
About the White Oak Project
As you can see in the photo above, the white oak hardwood flooring provided a light, inspiring feel to the client’s home. They had us install 1500 square feet of character grade 7-inch wide white oak planks (which has a unique look due to the sap, deposits and knots) throughout the home, including the dining room, entryway and stairs.
