It seems like forever that designers favored a canvas of neutral walls, floorcoverings and furnishings dotted with bits of colored accessories. The trend is reversing, with bold colors on walls setting the mood, complemented by a few select pieces in sophisticated neutral shades. Chairs and sofas are more compact and to normal scale, but upholstered in bright colors or striking patterns. We are living in the Age of Design, and designers are saying, let’s celebrate that!
