10 Of The Best Looking Bathroom Grab Bars For Your Bathroom Remodel

June was National Safety Month! I somehow missed it, but it's never too late to share one of the most helpful safety items you can include in a bathroom remodel:

Grab bars.

The humble grab bar could be the one thing that saves you from a nasty fall on your wet, slippery shower floor.

If you're getting on up into your boomer years, you really should always keep safety and your future ease of living in your home in mind.

I'm not talking about people in their 80s here; I'm talking about 50 year olds.

I know, from being around the older people in my family, from taking courses on Aging in Place, and from being in that boomer demographic myself, that the one thing that keeps people from taking safety measures into consideration when doing a remodel or outfitting a bathroom is that they think falling or...well...aging isn't going to happen to them.

Here's one of my projects where we used grab bars and they didn't take away from the beautifully zen ambience, at all.

I recently listened to a podcast and the conversation included a discussion about what age people really view themselves.

You can guess...it isn't their actual age. It's a younger, healthier, more-fit version of themselves. And yes, we're all guilty of it.

Time sneaks up on us and, before we know it, safety features like grab bars installed in our bathrooms really need to become part of our home's design. Or, if you absolutely aren't ready yet, installing blocking for future installation is always a good idea.

Better safe than sorry, right?

I know that everyone I've ever designed a bathroom for, as well as everyone in the future that I ever will design for, does not want to have a clinical, hospital-like bathroom in their home. That's why, today, I'm sharing some links for some nice looking grab bars.

They can be a useful and beautiful addition to any bathroom, especially if it means it might prevent a fall.

Check these links out below. Most of these come in many different sizes and finishes.

Be safe!
